Sephora Haul

I recently purchased some items from Sephora and I had to share it with you!  I'm going to consider it gift shopping (that makes it better right? lol).  I purchased two items as a gift for my secret santa and the others were gift for myself (it is my birthday month after all).

The first thing I had to buy was the Becca Glow on The Go Shimmering Skin Perfector® Moonstone Set. It's a gift set of two of the Becca highlighters for only $20. You get travel size versions of Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand and Pressed Powder and both in the color Moonstone.  It is awesome because it doesn't contain any sulfates or phthalates.  I've been looking for a really good highlighter, so I'm super excited to try this out.

I have also been loving face makes recently and wanted to try out some sheet masks. The Sephora
Collection Face Mask - Pomogranate is only $6 and is fiber mask that awakens, energizes and tones the skin for a fresh appearance. The mask is paraben free and not tested on animals.

The other mask I got was the the Primary Raw DoYou 2-Step Milk Peeling Kit and it's also $6. This mask set is great for all skin types and really helps with dullness, uneven texture, pore, fine lines and wrinkles.. It's a two step kid that comes with an exfoliating swab and a sheet mask. The swab is pre-soaked with a blend of lactic acid and botanical extracts to gently peel away dead skin cells. The soy-milk infused sheet mask, enriched with green tea and rosemary leaf, to help lock in moisture. After treatment, your skin appears instantly brightened and rejuvenated. This mask set is paraben, suflate, synthetic dye, mineral oil and
phthalete free.

Lasty, as I mentioned it was my birthday month, so I got to choose a birthday gift. I choose a Marc Jacobs Beauty mini makeup set. It came with a travel size version of their Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer and Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I am really excited to try out these products.

What was your latest makeup haul? Did you get a new lipstick at CVS or an eye shadow palette from Sephora? Let me know!

December Ipsy Bag and Discount Codes

Yay, my December Ipsy came and I am here to share it with you and give you some discount codes.  This month's bag is super cute as well.  It's this glittery, fushia faux fur and reminds me a wristlet that you can use instead of a purse for a holiday event.

The Symphony Beauty Snow Cream Moisturizer was the first thing I pulled out of the bag. It's a whipped gel moisturizer that includes vitamin E to nourish your skin. The full size is currently $19.99 and this sample has a value of $1.99.

OUAI Wave Spray was next in the bag. This is a weightless mist gives volume to your hair without using salt (which can dry out your hair). It's also paraben free and never tested on animals.  Use code GETOUAIED for a free travel-size repair shampoo & conditioner with a $45 purchase.  The full size is $24.00 and this sample is worth $4.80.

I was really excited to pull the Tarteist™ glossy lip paint in WCW out of the bag. This berry color nourishes and soothes dry lips. It has conditioning serum to hydrate lips and is super
pigmented.  Use code IPSYDEC to get 20% off your next purchase.  The full size size is $20 and this sample is valued at $3.33.

I'm also excited to try out the Make Moonlight Primer.  This primer blocks the high energy visable light that comes from things like computers and phones that can lead to premature againg and skin damange.  It also includes marine algae to block your skin from pollution.  Plus it has a cool black color that dissapears once you smooth it on.  Use the code MOONLIGHT25 to get 25% off your purchase.  The full size primer costs $55 and this sample is valued at $.7.14.

Lastly in the bag is City Color Cosmetics Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon, Blackberry, and Guava. These ultra fine powders are very pigmented and are great to mix. .Use code IPSYBeMatte to get 50% this blush.  These three blushes have cost $11.97  and the sample value is $3.16.

Overall I would say that this month was a great bag and a good value.  For $10 I got $20.42 worth of products and a super cute bag.  If you are looking to try out Ipsy (or just want to see what it's all about), here is the link.  Feel free to ask any questions in the comments as well!

My at home pampering spa day

Today I decide to give myself a little at home spa day and I wanted to share it with you.  I did masks and scrubs on my face, hair and body and I'm ready to go to fun girls night tonight!  So let me walk you through what I did.  The first thing I did was the hair mask because I knew that it needed to sit for about 10 minutes.  The hair mask I used is called Roots and it's from Lush. It's a hair and scalp treatment for fine and thing hair.  It's has spearmint and peppermint in it to revitalize your scalp so it smells great!  Plus it has olive oil and honey in it and it made my hair so super soft.

After that I moved onto my face and used a Rodan and Field sample of Enhancements Micro-Dermabrasion Paste. I don't know exactly what's in it, but it's very gritty and put it on your dry face.  I love the way that it makes my skin feel afterwards; it feels so soft.  My only complaint is the high price tag on it.  I found another face scrub from Perfectly Posh called Whole Lava Love. With Charcoal powder, sugar beads, and volcanic ash I think it would be pretty gritty too. If you've tried it, let me know.

Then I jumped in the shower to do a body scrub.  What it do is (ever so slightly) wet my skin just so that it's this one seems very similar.  I have dry skin and should really do this more often than I do.  I followed this with a shower.
is barely damp and then I apply the
scrub.  The scrub that I used is from Victoria's Secret.  They don't have the one that I used any more, but

When I got out of the shower I did my last two steps.  The first one was to apply a depuffing eye serum called Impish Eyes from Perfectly Posh.  It has caffeine, cucumber, Lip Exfoliator form E.L.F. It uses sugar as the exfoliator and then has Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape oil and Jojoba Oil.  It just helps to remove the dead skin from my lips.
CoQ10 and white tea in it to lessen the appearance of dark circles.  The second
one was to do an exfoliator on my lips. I used the

My experiences with the Maybelline Superstay 24 Lipcolor.

Thanks to Influenster I received two samples of the Maybelline Superstay 24 Lipcolor.  According to the Maybeline website "Super Stay 24® Lipcolor [is a] long-lasting lip color won’t cake, dry, or flake thanks to [their] unique Micro-Flex technology."  I tried it out several times and created the vlog below of one of my experiences.  While I am thankful for Influenster and Maybeiline for sending me this lipstick I have to say it didn't seem to last as long as I would have liked.  Now, I do have a problem with very dry lips and long lasting lipsticks not lasting on me so I can't say that it is this product that doesn't work well.  I would love to hear from other people who have tried this as well, because I really hope it's just me and not the product.  They have some really great colors and I will continue to wear it even though it only lasts a few hours on me.  If you have tried it, please let me know your experiences in the comments below.

My October Ipsy Glam Bag

Once again it's time to share this month's Ipsy Glam bag.  This month's bag came with a mix of skincare, makeup and tools.

The first item is from Tatcha and it's the One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil.  This cleansing oil removes makeup and rehydrates your skin with rice bran oil.  It's also cleans with no residue left behind.  You can get this for 15% off using code IPSY15 at Tatcha.  The value of this sample is $4.80.

After you remove all of your makeup you can moisturize your skin with the Aqua Moist Gel Cream from Sally's Box.  Floral water from from Provence roses, chamomile and lavender along with natural minerals from deep sea water create a soothing and moisturizing touch.  Lastly Aloe water gives your cells a hydrating boost.  The sample value is $4.30 and the full size can be found from K-Beautyholic.  This brings the bag's value up to $9.10.

Onto makeup with the NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Gunmetal.  This shade of silver is an ipsy exclusive, but you can find a similar color from NYX.   This liquid liner lasts all day and night.  It has a skinny brush to draw a precise thin line or layer it on for a thick, bold look.  This liner has a value of $7 which brings the bag's value up to $16.10.

You'll need some some awesome lips to go with those bold eyes and the tre'StiQue Matte Lip Crayon is just waht you need.  It's creamy and lightweight,
glides on smoothly, but lasts for hours.  It's not drying like many other long wear lipsticks.  Use the code IPSYFALLFUN30 for 30% Off Orders $40 or more at tre'StiQue.  This sample has a value of $10.50 and brings our bag total up to $26.60.

Having a great makeup application goes along with having great tools.  Lottie London's Perfectly Precise Eyeshadow Brush.  It's really a two in one brush as it's part shadow brush and part smudger.  The dense fribers allow you to apply both powder and cream shadows.  This brush is $15 and you can find it from Asos.  This final item brings my bag for this month up a $41.60 total.

I love that each month I get to try out some awesome new products and have discovered some that I really love.  What's better is that many of these products are high end products that I wouldn't have bought for myself otherwise.  All this for $15, I'd say it's a pretty good deal.  If you want to check it out head over to Ipsy.
