July Ipsy Bag and discount codes (of course!)

It's that time of the month again...Ipsy Glam Bag time.  I always enjoy getting my bag.  While it's not always items that I would have picked out myself I love being forced to try new things!

Next is the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea deep dive cleansing gel.  Basically it's a cleanser that dissolves makeup (even waterproof makeup) so make it easy to clean your face at nice (you are washing your face every night, right!?).  It's also full of antioxidants like algae and marine flower extract.  You can get 20% off anything at Tarte with the code IPSYJUL.   The full size is $25 and this sample has a value of $2.50.

Following the cleansing gel I pulled out another gel.  It is the 111SKIN Space Defense Bright Eye Gel.  This gel brightens and minimizes puffiness while minimizing fine lines.  This is probably the most expensive product that I have received in a bag.  The full size is $190 (!!) and this sample has a value of $63.33!!

I got another brush in this bag.  I sometimes get a little disappointed when I get brushes, especially one like this one, because I feel that I have a lot of them already.  I guess you can't have too much brushes though, right?  This one is cruelty free and the bristles are made of nylon and taklon.  At least this one can be used with cream or powder.  You can get a So Susan Brush (or anything else you want for So Susan) for 30% off using the code IPSY30.  This item isn't available for sale on the So Susan website, but I estimate it's value to be $18.

Last in the bag is the Raspberry Ripple Ombré Radiance Blush Palette from Trifle Cosmetics.  This palette has three different shades in.  It is paraben and fragrance free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic so it's good for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.  You can 30% off from anything at from Trifle Cosmetics by using code IPSY30.  This product came full sized and its value is $17.95.

This was a very high value bag topping in at $112.61!  That's not too shabby for a $10 investment.  I love Ipsy for this reason.  For a small investment I can get to try a bunch of new products that I wouldn't try otherwise.

Getting your beauty routine Summer ready

It's summer time which means that you might need to change up a bit your daily beauty routine.  The first thing you want to do is to pick a cleanser that is a little lighter than what you may have been using in winter.  You will be outside more so you'll want something that has a little detoxyifying to it.

Next, a moisturizer is key, but once again you'll want something that is light.  You might feel that as the weather gets warmer your skin won't be as dry and you don't need moisturizer.  Your skin goes through a lot of temperature changes in the spring and summer going from the warm weather outside to the air conditioned inside.

You are savvy about your skin, so you know that sunscreen is important.  You also want to look good and might also be putting on a setting spray so your makeup doesn't budge.  Why not combine the two with a setting spray that has SPF in it!

Following the trend of lightening up on products, you'll want to skip the heavy foundation and move towards something lighter like a BB or CC cream.
